Perhaps not so New, for I found my family in February of 1999, here in Cape Breton! I was hatched in Shaunavon Saskatchewan, to Angus Gillis MacDonald and Rose Anna Moyer. Mother died in 1938, and my father Angus dissapeared in 1944. Below is the url of a few thousand ancestors and descendants I have located. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=windwalker32
Me , not much to relate, but I live in Pittsburgh, Pa. Am retired and love digging up ancestral bones!
Now I do as little as possible! I enjoy helping others find their roots. Thus such an extended family Tree.
Angus Gillis MacDonald was the second eldest of 24 children. Sheumais Angus MacDonald was my grandfather, my Grandmother was Mary Anne Gillis. They lived at Creignish Rear Of the first family only Dougald MacDonald is still alive. Mary and Dougald live in Port Hawkesbury. ()f the second family, John Duncan and Eleanor live in River Denys area. Jimmy and his wife Mary live in Creignish, Cape Breton. Numerous other aunts and uncles are scattered throughout Canada. With a few thousand cousins, I'm sure in C.B. and N.S.
Been home to Cape Breton in 1999 and 2000, and I love it. My Roots here go back to the 1700's, so I would hope all you Capers will except a comparative newcomer as one of your own. Thanks to all Don MacDonald
